Step 3 – Select your solid wood tabletop
Choosing the tabletop is an essential step in designing your custom-made table. At VitaDeco, we offer a wide selection of solid wood species, carefully chosen for their beauty, strength, and long-lasting durability.

Tabletops are available in a variety of shapes, including rectangular, oval, round, and square. Depending on availability, we present you with unique pieces that are ready to be selected or customized. Some tabletops are supplied in their raw state, while others have already been prepared. In either case, we guide you in choosing the one that best matches your vision and your project.
Step 4 – Choose the right table base
The table base plays an essential role in both the appearance and stability of your table. It complements the style of the tabletop while also meeting your practical needs, such as ease of movement around the table, the type of flooring, and whether the table will be used daily or occasionally. Step 5 – Finishing and preparing the wood
Once the tabletop and base have been selected, it is time to prepare the wood. At VitaDeco, every step is carried out with great care to reveal the natural beauty of the material. The tabletop is carefully sanded before being protected with a finish tailored to your needs: a satin varnish, a matte finish, or an oiled finish, depending on the desired look and intended use.
Some tabletops are already prepared in our solid wood table workshop. If you would like to take your table home straight away, we can show you the models currently available in stock. For a custom finish, please allow between two and four weeks. And if you prefer to purchase an unfinished tabletop and apply the finish yourself, that is also entirely possible.
Step 6 – Delivery or workshop collection
Once your table is ready, you have two options: have it delivered directly to your home or collect it from our workshop. For deliveries, we work with specialist furniture transport partners, including Cocolis, which offers a reliable, flexible, and more environmentally friendly solution. We will put you in touch with them to arrange a delivery time that suits your schedule.
If you prefer to collect your table in person, we will be delighted to welcome you to our workshop in Saint-Pierre-de-Chandieu. Our team will help you load your table safely and securely.
